📋 About This Mod

This small mod fixes a longstanding problem with the game, something I think incredibly many of us have been complaining about on the forums for quite a long time now. It's crazy to think they didn't think of this. After all, it's not just games in the same FPS-RPG genre that boast this critical feature, but also platformers and action-adventure sandboxes.

So how did this tragic design oversight happen?

I am writing, of course, about the lack of a bubble-blowing weapon in Fallout 4.

Consider the placement of a improvised bubble rifle in Diamond City's Warehouse a temporary solution for the community.

With the bubble gun, you can shoot strange air and also, curiously, water filled bubbles. This serves an admirable decorative purpose, of course. But these bubbles, upon hitting a person, will, heightening their weirdness, swell up to an atypical size. Then the person may sail away, carried by the bubble perhaps to a beautiful scenic height... And when the bubble cavitates, its animate contents may spill out to the tune of a deadly fall below.

As a bonus, included in the same locale are 3 minor weapons for your consideration. Two of them I suppose you could say passively offer an overpowered risk-reward kind of mechanic, and the third one is more of a utility item to help you go into a building and steal almost everything you can worry-free.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved (600 endorsements) and widely downloaded (12,667 downloads).
  • Adds a unique and fun mechanic—trapping enemies and watching them plummet.
  • Simple concept that fits well with the game's physics-based combat.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2016, so it may be outdated and potentially incompatible with newer game versions.
  • Limited information on the exact number of weapons added—could be a small pack.
  • Potential balance issues since the bubble gun might trivialize certain encounters.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who enjoy creative and humorous weapon mods that add new ways to dispatch enemies. If you like physics-based combat and want a fresh take on crowd control, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for serious, lore-friendly additions or if you play on the latest game version without compatibility patches.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Check if the mod is compatible with your game version, as it hasn't been updated since 2016.
  • Test the bubble gun on weaker enemies first to get a feel for its mechanics and fall damage.
  • Combine with other weapon mods for a more varied arsenal, but watch for conflicts.
