📋 About This Mod
REQUIRES NUKA WORLD DLC
I Was thinking about the enemy types from past Fallout games and what was missing from Fallout 4, when i remembered one of the first enemy types you encountered was the giant ants in Fallout 3. Bethesda for some reason left them out of the base game even though Ants are found literally everywhere, so I decided to add new versions of the Nuka-world variants from the DLC to the base game.
The Mod includes two new NPC's:
-Giant Worker Ant
-Giant Soldier Ant
-Giant Glowing Ant
Ant's are now dotted around the map in certain areas, also appearing are ant nests, added to the landscape of the commonwealth. The Nests are just for show at the moment but I plan on creating a few interiors to allow for access to the nests. Over 100+ Ants have been added to the base game, though I feel I will update it with more over time in later versions.
To be added in the future, possibly:
-Giant Ant Queen
-Giant Ant Nest Guardian
-Giant Ant Warrior
A problem I've encountered with scaling up the size of the ants is that when killed in game, the bodies flicker and do not act like normal ragdolls, they float above the ground and spaz about. The current size of the Ants is the maximum I could make them without this happening so they're locked to it unfortunately, which means making a queen ant is going to take some time to figure out.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 438 endorsements and nearly 10k downloads
- Adds a classic enemy type that's missing from vanilla Fallout 4
- Simple spawn-based mod, likely low performance impact
⚠️ Cons
- Only adds spawns, no new models or behaviors—just reuses vanilla assets
- May conflict with other mods that alter spawn lists or leveled lists
- Last updated in January 2023, so might not be compatible with the latest game patches
For Fallout 4 players who want more creature variety and a nostalgic throwback to giant ants. If you're looking for new models or quests, this isn't it—it's purely a spawn addition.
