Faster Automatic Shotgun

💬 INTRODUCTION

The automatic receivers for the combat shotgun were so slow, they never made much of a difference. They were just as fast as the standard receivers. Even the Rapid receiver was way too slow.

⚙️ WHAT THIS MOD DOES

This mod speeds up the fire rate of the Combat Shotgun's automatic receivers w/o touching the weapon itself, so there won't be any conflicts. This fix is included in my Realistic Shotgun Mechanics mod.

There's already a mod that increases the fire rate, but that version had questionable edits, including reducing the weapon's damage on top of reduced range, when Fallout's shotguns already had damage and range issues. With Faster Automatic Shotgun, there's no other changes, just the fire rate. Bethesda already made the automatic receivers' tradeoff less range and that's how I left it.

TWO FLAVORS

• []Automatic receivers now shoot at realistic fire rates. I used the AA-12's fire rate.

  []The Rapid receiver shoots 23% faster than the other automatic receivers.

  If you feel like the rapid receiver should shoot like the AA-12 and the others should shoot just a bit slower. I made that version too.

      Version 2

  • []Rapid receiver shoots with the AA-12 fire rate.

    []Other automatic receivers shoot 23% slower.

    JSRS VERSIONS (RECOMENDED)

    The vanilla Shotgun sounds weren't really meant to go this fast and can't keep up. Use either Version 1 or Version 2 to replace the sound with sounds from the Saiga-12. Why the Saiga-12 and not the AA-12? Because the AA-12 sounds more like an assault rifle and doesn't match the vanilla sound of the Combat Shotgun as well as the Saiga-12 does.

      🔮 FUTURE PLANS

      I have a complete shotgun overhaul here that fixes the biggest issues for both of the shotguns in the game and adds a ton of new features and attachments.

      I also released Faster Double Barrel Reload. Which is another lightweight plugin that helps make the Double-Barrel Shotgun a viable weapon and alternative to the Combat Shotgun for a faster fire rate with an optional Damage equalizer.
