📋 About This Mod
My first C# program, but hey.
Requires .net 4 or .net 4. 5.
Instructions:
Put the source path of the textures in the "Source Dir" text box. Program will find all the folders, and will keep the same hierarchy when copying them over.
Choose your folder that contains your Textures folder: (i.e, "Fallout 4\Data", not "Fallout 4\Data\Textures")
Tick the boxes in the "Old Resolution" group, to specify the resolutions you want resized
Tick the boxes in the "New Resolution" across from them, to resize the Old res -> New res
Choose a destination path that is a different folder from your source folder
Click "Begin".

A simple C# utility that resizes .dds texture files in bulk for Fallout 4, similar to Optimizer Textures but less robust. Created by a modder as their first C# program, it has 501 endorsements and over 6,700 downloads, though it hasn't been updated since August 2016.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-tested with 501 endorsements and 6,754 downloads.
- Fills a niche for bulk texture resizing without needing the heavier Optimizer Textures.
- Lightweight and straightforward—does one job without bloat.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016, so it may not work with the latest Fallout 4 patches or mods.
- Author admits it's not as robust as Optimizer Textures, so expect rough edges.
- Potential compatibility risk with newer texture formats or mods that expect specific resolutions.
For Fallout 4 modders who want a quick, no-frills way to resize texture packs to save VRAM, especially if you're on a lower-end PC. Skip if you need advanced features like mipmap control or if you're using the latest game version—this tool might be outdated.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Run the tool as administrator to avoid permission issues when writing to your Fallout 4 Data folder.
- Always back up your original textures before resizing—this tool doesn't have an undo function.
- Test the resized textures in-game after applying to ensure they don't cause visual glitches.
