How Is This Mod Different From Other Radio Mods

Almost Every radio mod on Nexus that adds a new radio station has one or more of following Issues:

• []The radio station will eventually stop playing music and will only play silence after some hours have passed. This is the notorious radio silence bug. There is only 1 other radio station mod on nexus that fixes this bug and it was made by CDante (mod author of transfer settlements). This issue can also be fixed by uninstalling the mod loading the game saving without the mod and then re-installing but will happen a few hours later again.

  []The new radio stations will play music right away in pre-war sanctuary. This breaks immersion and you will see a popup showing that you have found the new stations will in pre-war sanctuary

  []The radio stations have no DJ and/or are named in such a way that breaks immersion and does not fit the lore of the game

  []Mods like the one CDante made are incredible but are built in such a way that makes it impossible to customize and comes pre built with songs. To be clear however if thats all you want mods like CDante's radio mod are amazing get them yesterday. Other stations suffer the above issues but allow for more flexibility in customizing the station but no radio mod resolves the issues and allows for customization and integrates in a lore friendly way.

  []Most radio mods on nexus do not randomized tracks instead they play every track in the same order every time

  []Many radio mods on nexus do not have the option to build radios tuned to the frequency of the custom station in your settlement

  So now we get to this radio mod. This radio mod resolves all the issue stated above.

  • []I implemented the radio stations so that they do not play right at the start of the game in pre-war Sanctuary.

    []The radio stations are found via finding a holotape on top of the building workshop in Sanctuary which is a programed frequency tuner that scans and finds frequencies in use and allows you to tune into them. There is a lore friendly note next to the tuner detailing why it was built and what happened to the owner 5 years ago.

All you have to do is use MultiXwm to convert your personal music to XWM and rename the tracks 1, 2, 3, etc and place them in the following folder directory: Steam Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Sound\fx\mus\radio\Select a R
