DogMeat and Strong Armor by TumbaJamba and MunkySpunk

NB: The miniquest starts right outside Sanctuary as you see in the second gallery picture. There is a dead Raider and a dead dog there, the note should be on or near the dog as pictured in the gallery. Pick it up and read it to start the quest. Quest should take 10 minutes or less if you can fast travel to all points, more if you like to walk.

Short lore for the equally short quest:

Just outside of Sanctuary the Lone Wanderer comes upon a gruesome scene. The perpetrator has left a calling card. Can the Lone Wanderer track down and bring this criminal some street justice? (Hint: yes)

Ever notice how the vanilla dog armor is ornamental, offering no real protection? Doesn't your best ankle-grabbing friend deserve better? Maybe some sleek, form fitted armor that will land him some nice poodle-booty at the end of a hard day of risking life and limb to kill everything in sight for someone who never actually feeds him anyway? (You heartless bastard)

There's not really much to say lore-wise about this mod without ruining the miniquest. Suffice to say, at the end of it, you will have a set of REAL upgradeable armor for Dogmeat to wear, and the ability to craft it at the chem bench. This armor is sourced from the vanilla combat armor components, and so supports all vanilla materials. MunkySpunk has made 7 more custom paint job materials for this armor as craftable options at the armor workbench. You might like some, try them.

Dogmeat's carrying weight can be enhanced by the addition of pack upgrades, because he doesn't do enough for a thankless talking monkey already, now he has to carry more of your crap too.

As a bonus, the end boss of the quest can be looted for his Super Mutant armor, which can be up-grayedd and equipped on Strong but is NOT craftable (Super mutants don't use plans). There are three weights of armor on the corpse - they are heavy, and they are unique. So travel light so you can take them all with you, because you won't see any more! Hey, maybe Dogmeat can carry some.

Directions: Download and install with your mod manager of choice, or manually if you like your directories to clog up over time (hey, whatever floats your boat). Make sure the plugin is activated and start your game.

Regarding Textures: Mod comes with 2k diffuse (BC1), spec (BC5), and normal (BC5) maps, with the diffuse.
