Diamond City - Cut and Polished

This mod breaks precombines and rebuilds them within the Diamond City area.

Like many players, I always felt that vanilla Diamond City did not live up to its reputation. For a city described as the heart of trade, politics, and life in post war Boston, it felt too small, too empty, just a few shacks and a handful of crops. There was no real industry, no meaningful expansion, limited living space, and very little to support its status as the largest settlement in the Commonwealth.

I tried to change that with this mod. I expanded the city as reasonably as it can be done without going overboard. Every part is walkable, with new alleys, new districts, and new areas. I improved the vanilla marketplace, expanded farming, and added cranes, industrial buildings for manufacturing, water purification, and trading infrastructure.

The Dugout Inn is no longer the only place for relaxation. From a decaying underground club to an upscale casino, there are now new options for all visitors. There are also many new homes for citizens, some of which include quests, as well as lore entries scattered around the city that expand its background and atmosphere.

New facilities include places where you can build robots, as well as a clinic that sells SPECIAL stat bobbleheads so new players do not have to rely solely on finding them through exploration or quests.

The city feels more alive with additional NPCs going about their daily routines. Diamond City is no longer just a collection of shacks. Now there is a reason to visit.

I recommend pairing this mod with my other two mods, Diamond City Interiors Expanded and Diamond City Exterior Town.

Place Diamond City Interiors Expanded before this mod in the load order.

This will expand both the interiors and the surroundings of Diamond City, making the whole city even bigger.

For guards, I recommend getting the mod Diamond City Guard Armor Overhaul. It replaces their armor with something more fitting and better looking.
