📋 About This Mod
Nuka-World added 2 new textures for cats. However, the Brown Tabby texture had a missing material file needed for the swap while the Black Cat texture was only used once for a cat named Luna.
This mod fixes that missing material file while distributing both textures throughout the commonwealth in a non-invasive way. The cat in Nuka-World named Katana incidentally has their color fixed by this as well, becoming a Brown Tabby.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-tested with 139 endorsements and over 9,000 downloads.
- Uses existing game assets, so no new textures or meshes to worry about.
- ESL flagged means it won't eat your mod slots—perfect for load order hoarders.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects cats, so if you're not into feline companions, this is a pass.
- No custom textures—just reuses Nuka-World's, so the variety is limited to those three colors.
- Compatibility risk with other mods that alter cat textures or spawn lists; test with your setup.
For Fallout 4 players who want a touch of variety in the wasteland's feline population without any hassle. If you're a cat lover or just like subtle environmental changes, this is a nice little addition. Skip if you're looking for major gameplay or visual overhauls—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's ESL flagged, you can safely add it to your load order without worrying about the 255 mod limit.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just download and install—no extra steps needed.
- Check your load order for other mods that modify cat textures or leveled lists to avoid conflicts.
