📋 About This Mod
OVERVIEW
Allows you to customize your cl rim setting in-game, made into an easily installable mod. Simply plug-and-play!
Your character rimlighting setting is a lighting outline that is applied to all NPC's. This setting allows for NPC's to be easily visible in the dark. However, some people may think it's too bright, too dark, or simply want to get rid of it entirely. Now you can configure it!
NO VANILLA EDITS | INSTALL AT ANY TIME | COMPATIBLE WITH EVERYTHING
BREAKDOWN
That's about it. Again, you can adjust this in the config .ini file.
Have fun!
NOTES
That's also about it. This mod pairs nicely with "darker nights" type mods.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge download count (267k) shows it's a popular pick for visual tweaks
- ESPless means no plugin slot wasted and easy to remove
- In-game customization is a big QoL win over editing INIs
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated May 2026 — could be outdated if the game patches soon
- Only 460 endorsements compared to downloads, so some users may have issues
For Skyrim players who want to tweak character lighting without messing with ENB or ini files. If you're into screenshots or just want your character to look better in different lighting, this is a quick fix. Skip if you want major visual overhauls — this is a small, focused tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's ESPless, just drop the files into your Data folder or use a mod manager — no load order worries.
- Test the in-game settings first to find your preferred rim lighting intensity before setting it to auto-apply on launch.
- If you use ENB, check if the rim lighting setting conflicts with your ENB's lighting effects.
