- Directly addresses a frustrating bug that can ruin combat immersion.
- Lightweight F4SE plugin — no heavy scripts or textures, just a clean fix.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires F4SE, so you'll need to install that first if you haven't already.
- Only fixes the shooting bug — doesn't address other companion AI quirks.
- Last updated in May 2026, but no guarantee it works with future game updates.
For Fallout 4 players who are tired of their companions turning on them mid-firefight. If you rely on companions like Dogmeat or Piper and hate friendly fire incidents, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you don't use companions or prefer gameplay overhauls.
