📋 About This Mod
ABOUT
The Deliverer is one of the coolest weapons in Fallout 4, but it always bugged me that it was only available in certain conditions. That's why I'm a big fan of JKruse05's Compact Pistol (Generic Deliverer) mod- it hasn't left my load order since I first installed it.
This mod is just a small addon to the aforementioned mod that makes a few small changes to make the weapon more in line with its real life equivalent, the Walther PPK. Some of these changes were inspired by other similar mods affecting the Deliverer, which are listed in the Credits section below.
FEATURES
-
[]Changed the ammo type to use . 22 caliber and . 32 caliber rounds from Munitions. (Fun fact- the Deliverer meshes reference a 32 caliber ammo type, but it was never implemented in the game.)
[
]Added the ability to switch between . 22 caliber, . 32 caliber, or . 38 caliber ammo types.[]Adjusted the stats of the compact pistol to more closely match the Walther PPK- reduced the weight (3 to 1. 5), reduced the ammo capacity (12 to 8), and lowered the value (88 to 35 caps).
[]Fixed some small inconsistencies with the Deliverer magazines versus other vanilla weapon magazines- removed the 50% ammo increase from the standard & quick eject mags, lowered the weight, lowered the value, removed the added AP cost and ADS time, and increased the reload speed.
[]The base Deliverer magazines in the game had a few properties that made them inconsistent with other weapon magazines that this mod fixes. By default, the Deliverer standard & quick eject mags increase the ammo capacity by 50%. This isn't present on any other standard or quick eject magazine, so I removed this and tweaked a few other properties so that they're now consistent with other standard vanilla magazines.
[]The large & large quick eject magazines had their ammo capacity lowered to more accurately reflect the actual capacity of a Walther PPK extended magazine. See below for an example:
[]. 32 caliber, standard mag: 8 rounds
[]. 32 caliber, large mag: 10 rounds
[]. 22 caliber, standard mag: 10 rounds
[]. 22 caliber, large mag: 12 rounds
[]. 38 caliber, standard mag: 7 rounds
[]. 38 caliber, large mag: 9 rounds
[
]Changed the original mod's weapon LL injection- the weapon will still appear beginning at level 4 but will no longer appear on raiders. It can still be found on Gunners, Railroad agents, Minutemen and vendors.[]Added custom naming rules (INNR) via script so that weapon names will reflect their ammo type.
[]Weapon paints/skins now use the default weapon material

- Frequent updates? Last updated December 2022, so it's relatively recent.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Compact Pistol mod to function, so it's not standalone.
- Limited to tweaks for a specific weapon mod, so it won't appeal to players not using that mod.
For Fallout 4 players who already use JKruse05's Compact Pistol and want extra polish and tweaks. Skip if you don't use the base mod or prefer larger overhauls.
