📋 About This Mod
What is this and what does it do?
Like my Cat creatures for Settlements mod before it this mod adds new creatures to be able to be captured using the Wasteland Workshop cages. The goal of the mod was to add some flavor to the settlement creatures list. As the title suggests, this one focuses on some of my Canine creations. Some my find this lore friendly, some may not.

[]
5 variants of my Hellhound-like Nightmare Hounds:
Undead Nightmare
- []2 new mutant variants of the vanilla Vicious Mongrel:
Mutant Mongrel
-
[]And my Nightstalker creature (currently does not have his snakedog sounds)
[
]All the canine creatures add both happiness and defense like other captured dogs[]All the canine creatures are passive, meaning they will not be hostile even without a Beta Emitter
Compatibility:
-
[]
Canine Creatures uses its own Wasteland Workshop Cage called Shadow's Canine Creatures Cage located in the same menu as the normal dog cage. - Because it uses its own cage there should not be any issues with using it with other mods that change the vanilla dog cage.

[]
This Fallout 4 mod adds a new cage to the Wasteland Workshop menu, letting you capture and tame several custom canine creatures. It includes five Nightmare Hound variants and two mutant Vicious Mongrels, expanding your settlement's animal collection. For players who want more creature variety in their settlements.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 128 endorsements and over 6,000 downloads.
- Adds real variety to settlement creature collecting with 7 new canine types.
- Integrates directly into the vanilla Wasteland Workshop menu, so it feels like a natural extension.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018, so it might have compatibility issues with newer game patches or DLC.
- Only adds canines—if you're looking for a broader creature expansion, this won't cover it.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter the Wasteland Workshop cage menu or add similar creatures.
For Fallout 4 settlement builders who want to add more variety to their creature collections, especially if you're a fan of canine mods. Skip if you're looking for gameplay overhauls or non-canine creatures.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the Wasteland Workshop DLC installed, as the mod relies on its cage system.
- Check your load order—place this mod after any other mods that modify the Wasteland Workshop menu to avoid conflicts.
- Use the in-game settlement menu to find the new cage under the Wasteland Workshop category.
