Autumn Forest Overgrowth is a mod that is solely focuses pre-war flora trees to make a lush environment. The wasteland is lifeless which it doesn't make sense after 200 years. The goal for this mod is to make the world fully recovered from the wastes and finally rebuilt its life that was once destroyed by mankind.
Like many environmental mods, it's inspired with a combination of Boston Natural Surroundings, Autumn Overhaul, and Nuclear Reloaded. With an ever increased tree density surrounding with the environment, it's easily to get lost while exploring other places from one to another location and can be disorienting at most times. The two autumn environment mods (i.e Nuclear Reloaded/Autumn Overhaul) are long abandoned, buggy, outdated LOD, and had broken precombines/previs despite its great potential with the tree placement framework provided by the mod authors. Far Harbor and Nuka World needs more attention and decided to use the existing framework for tree places because only 2 environmental mods has a Nuka World tree placement feature and 1 for Far Harbor.
Commonwealth covers all worldspaces including the Marsh and Glowing Sea area as well as some isolated areas. Far Harbor will be added pre-war maple trees to balance the pine tree flora. Nuka World is filled with thick pre-war Elm Trees making the desert become forested theme. Diamond City is much alive and overgrown. Goodneighbor adds a touch of autumn flora.
The mod doesn't break PreVis and Precombined Meshes. Boston FPS Fix/PRP will work on this mod because I only change the object of the trees into pre-war and nothing more. Additionally, Dead Forest Overhaul framework were updated and fixes records that breaks precombines and previs.
FPS will definitely tank despite the mod doesn't break precombines even with the help of PRP. Optimize your load order and your .ini file. This of course assumes that you have a similar PC specs to mine.
Compatible:
- Any plugin mods that change the density, height, etc. of grasses from the base assets of the game are compatible
- Texture pack overhauls like Luxor's HD Overhaul, Complex Retexture Project, Performance Textures, etc., that contains the base game BA2 format are compatible (ie: Fallout4 - Textures1, and so on...)
Mixed between Compatible and Incompatible (use at your own risk)
- Seasons Change by DoubleYouC but expect some awkward clippings for the blasted elm and maple trees, LOD Z-fighting when generated, inconsistent textures when changing seasons real time like Winter season. Landscapes is 50-50 and uncertain about the potential bug texture
