📋 About This Mod
Have you ever wanted to kill a target from a long range using vats? Does it piss you off when you go to use vats and you get a low percentage to hit? Well then this mod is for you. Not only is the range that you can use vats increased, but also is the accuracy. Place this file in the data folder and check off in FOMM. I don\'t think it needs FOSE since I have not tried running without it.
Vats Long Range is a small cheat mod for Fallout 3 that increases the range and accuracy of the VATS targeting system. With 1,090 endorsements and nearly 20,000 downloads, it's a popular tweak for players who find the default VATS range too limiting. Last updated in 2011, it remains a simple, effective quality-of-life improvement.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 1,090 endorsements and nearly 20k downloads.
- Does exactly what it says: longer range and better accuracy in VATS.
- Lightweight and easy to install—just drop in and play.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2011—may not be compatible with the latest game patches or mods.
- Cheat mods can make the game too easy if you're not careful.
For Fallout 3 players who rely on VATS and find the default range frustratingly short. Also for those who want a more sniper-friendly VATS experience without overhauling the whole game. Skip if you prefer a vanilla challenge or want a more comprehensive gameplay overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this is a cheat mod, consider using it on a separate save if you want to keep your main playthrough vanilla.
- If you use a mod manager like Fallout Mod Manager, install it there to keep your Data folder clean.
- Check if you have any other VATS-related mods that might conflict—load order matters in Fallout 3.
