📋 About This Mod
Unofficial Fallout 3 ESM Patcher
What it Does
Patches the Fallout 3 + DLC ESM files with essential fixes + decompression optimization. Almost all of the fixes come from the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch. The fixes ported from it are preferred to not be overrides and some changes aren't possible for an override to do. This has been made to be extremely compatible with any mod as if they're like the base game.
Requirements
-
[]English Fallout 3 + DLCs v1. 7. 0. 3 or higher
[
]Unedited Fallout 3 + DLC ESM filesInstallation Instructions
-
[]Close all programs that have your Fallout 3 + DLC ESM files open
[
]Backup your Fallout 3 + DLC ESM files (Just in case this needs an update)[]Extract and run the exe installer file (It's a surprisingly fast patch process)
[]Both destination locations in the installer are towards your Fallout 3 Data folder (this is where your ESM files are)
[]All actors update more frequently (this also fixes dead bodies that wouldn't appear)
[]Decompressed NPCs + Landscapes (Should be less CPU intensive + help reduce loading times + possibly help reduce stutters in game)
[]Removed empty cell brackets (coding cosmetics)
[]Removed unused dialogue topics with no dialogue lines in them (topics with no dialogue lines in them won't show up in game so they're pointless being loaded at all. Every topic in the game being loaded will have dialogue lines now)
[]Removed identical to master records in DLC esms (Dirty records)
[]Fixed placed reference NPC + Creatures to be persistent (The geck by default does this for good reason. When not persistent, especially out in the wasteland, sometimes NPCs would not be present when they should be)
[]Fixed placed reference objects that shouldn't be persistent (statics, non-portal doors, etc)
[]Undeleted and marked for initially disabled towards deleted placed references (FO3 esm didn't have any)
[]Fixed critical errors reported by XEdit
[]Fixed Geck warnings
[]Fixed missing or incomplete code (simply saving the esms in the geck completes what each record should fully have)
[]Fixed missing dialogue previous info (simply saving the esms in the geck puts all the dialogue in the correct order)
[]Fixed object bounds (simply saving the esms in the geck fixes these)
[]Fixed broken NavMesh, deleted NavMesh, broken/missing portals, finalized all NavMesh, and updated Nav Info Maps
[*]Fixed references to not have Enable Parent + Initially Disabled flags on at the same time (These are technically errors
