📋 About This Mod
Due to popular demand I will be creating a new \"Hideout\" for Fallout New Vegas. It is still being worked on so be patient. You can check its progress here: www.danthegeek.com Follow me on Twitter Like on Facebook www.danthegeek.com =============== Description =============== This Mod adds a Player Vault on the South East end of the Wasteland near Rivet City. The vault includes all the ammonites including a stocked Armory, Display areas, Item Sorters, special Weapons, and is Companion Friendly WARNING -If you are updating from V6. 1 or older, remove any items you have placed on the mannequins before updating or you will loose those items. Otherwise, dont worry about it. -You must Exit the armory area and save before installing to the new version. =============== Location =============== The entrance is located West of the “Rivet City” Entrance in the Parking lot with the crashed planes and wrecked cars. =============== Requirements =============== Regular Version -Fallout 3 DLC Version - Fallout 3, Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. All of the DLC must be int he Fallout 3 data folder. You can not use LIVE to load the content. You can use Disable Live to move the content. If you do not do this and still use the DLC version, Fallout 3 will crash on startup. -I recommend using FO3 Patch 1. 7 since this is the patch version I have used in creating it. -You must use ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated (or FOMM equivalent) to avoid any problems with textures. -Fallout Script Extender is required to use the Weapons and Armor Sorter =============== Install/Uninstall =============== To install, unzip the folder and copy the contents to the fallout 3 data folder. ✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 17,380 endorsements and 444k downloads — this is a proven player home.
- All-in-one convenience: armory, displays, and sorters mean you can ditch your cluttered Megaton shack.
- Companion ready — your crew can actually live there with you, which is rare for older FO3 homes.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010 — likely no patches for modern mod setups or DLC compatibility issues.
- Location near Rivet City might be out of the way if you fast-travel a lot, especially early game.
For Fallout 3 players who want a central, feature-packed player home without modding the game to death. Perfect for collectors who need display space and item organization. Skip if you prefer lore-friendly or lore-ambiguous homes — this is a straight-up vault convenience.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's an older mod, make sure you have Fallout 3's ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated or a mod manager that handles it, or textures might not load.
- Place this mod early in your load order to avoid conflicts with other world-editing mods near Rivet City.
- If you use FOSE or other script extenders, test the vault doors after installing to ensure they work.
