📋 About This Mod
Adds several Enhanced Vision modes to various helmets and pieces of armor, toggled using the Pip-Boy Light. FOSE is NOT required.
UPDATE: New version using a much more reliable toggle method. This also fixes the "overbright" issue with the Pip-Boy. ---------- Ever wonder why, with all that room in a power helmet, nobody thought to put Night Vision in there?
You're not alone. I did too, and I decided to do something about it. The problem is, how do you do something without making the helmet unwearable under certain situations?
Now at first I had the admittedly unoriginal idea of making it constant, or making it time/location based. Been there, done that, as they say. I could add a custom keybind, but then I'd need to require the use of FOSE, and it seemed like overkill for what I wanted to be a very... let's call it ''minimalist'' mod.
Eventually I figured out a different activation method: the Pip-Boy Light. It's what you use when you can't see in the dark anyway, so why not make it multifunction?
The end result is there are now five separate vision modes assigned to various helmets and bits of equipment. All are activated simply by turning on your Pip-Boy Light; rather than the light activating, the vision enhancement will activate instead.
Vision modes, in rough order of quality:
ENCLAVE VISION - Enclave Power Helmet - Enclave Shocktrooper Helmet - Enclave Hellfire Helmet+ - Tesla Helmet - ''Robo Thor'' Helmet
T-51B VISION - T-51b Power Helmet - Winterized T-51b Power Helmet+
ORANGE VISION - All-Purpose Science Suit - Chinese Stealth Armor+ - Chinese Stealth Helmet+ - Enclave Scientist Outfit - The AntAgonizer's Helmet
T-45D VISION - Brotherhood Power Helmet - Outcast Power Helmet - Power Helmet
LIGHTAMP VISION - Advanced Radiation Suit - Bogeyman's Hood - Crow's Eyebot Helmet - Environment Suit - The Mechanist's Helmet
* These items are not normally found/usable in the game, but I've included them for those using mods which re-add, re-enable, or otherwise modify them.
+ These are DLC-specific items, and support for them requires either the Full Version of the mod, or using the appropriate ESP files packaged in the Base Game version.
This is a port of my similar mod for Fallout: New Vegas. You can find that mod here: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39825
