Description
===========
This simple .esp creates two additional armor IDs for the Operation: Anchorage DLC. One consists of a helm-less Chinese Stealth Suit, while the other is a headgear item for the helm itself. The Dragoon Armor and Dragoon Helm, respectively!
1. 0 Changes
- Now replaces original Chinese Stealth Suit's location (item ID still there, FYI)
- New (No Stealth) version
- Changed Dragoon Helm to Dragoon Helmet
Inside the sealed room, where the regular suit of armor is. The body armor and helmet are on the shelf right next to it. Check the screens for a closer look. Please rate, comment, and enjoy!
Alternatively, use the following codes with the console (XX represents the Mod Index number, found next to the File category in FOMM):
Dragoon Suit XX00102A
Dragoon Suit (No Stealth) XX0030D0
Dragoon Helm XX00102B
- I didn't really like being forced to use the helmet to use the suit's effects. This modification may be something directed toward personal use, but I figured some of you would like the options as well.
- The .esm already comes with a standalone helmet item, but I made an additional one to avoid any conflicts and maintain consistency with the names of the armor added.
- The location of some of the screenshots is in a player home I'm building. Its in a development studio centered around a game I worked on.
1. Copy the .esp file to (install folder)\Fallout 3\Data\
2. Start the Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).
1. Delete the .esp file
Troubleshooting
===============
You may need to relocate the DLC's files from their hidden Xlive directories to your Data directory for everything to work properly. You can find the files in the following locations, depending on your operating system.
If you're using Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC
If you're using Windows Vista:
C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC
0. 5, 2009/01/28 - Initial release
1. 0, 2009/02/01 - Added (No Stealth) variation, Changed 'Dragoon Helm' to 'Dragoon Helmet', Now replaces original suit
A tiny cosmetic mod that removes the helmet from the Chinese Stealth Suit, letting you show off your hair while sneaking. Simple and effective, with a strong community following despite its age.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite (938 endorsements) for such a simple tweak
- Does exactly what it says—no fuss, no extra baggage
- Perfect for players who want to show off their character's face or hair
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2009—likely incompatible with modern game versions
- Only affects the Chinese Stealth Suit, so limited scope
For Fallout 3 players who love the Chinese Stealth Suit but hate the helmet. If you're a roleplayer who wants to see your character's face while sneaking, this is a must-have. Skip if you're on a newer game version or want more than a cosmetic tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's from 2009, check if it works with your game version before installing—might need manual compatibility patches.
- If you're using a mod manager, load this after other armor mods to ensure the helmet removal applies.
- Make a backup of your original suit mesh if you want to revert easily.
