📋 About This Mod
Update, March 2024: People keep asking me about this mod and sending me PMs, so I'm making this visible again. I've also archived the mod loader version. I have no idea if this still works and I'm really not interested in downloading a 50GB game and playing through it for however long is necessary to check, so consider this one of those, "What you see is what you get and if your computer exploded then I'm not responsible." things.
Full Color Tranquility Lane is a small mod for Fallout 3 that adds a lot of color.
It alters the image space and world space settings for Tranquility Lane (a simulation the character enters as part of the main quest) to convert it from the default sepia tone to a full color representation. The mod makes no alterations to textures or shaders, and should therefore have no effect on system performance. It also makes no alterations to Bethesda's quest code, so should therefore also have no effect on the player's ability to complete the quest.
Full Color Tranquility Lane should have no version or DLC dependencies. It should work with any version of the game.
Full Color Tranquility Lane is a small Fallout 3 mod that changes the Tranquility Lane simulation and its connecting buildings from the default black-and-white to full color. With 450 endorsements and over 12,000 downloads, it's a popular visual tweak for players who want a different look for this iconic quest area. Last updated in 2009, it remains a simple, lightweight enhancement.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 450 endorsements and over 12k downloads
- Gives the quest a fresh look if you're tired of the monochrome filter
- Simple install—just drop it in and go
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2009—might not play nice with newer mods or DLC
- Only affects Tranquility Lane, so it's a niche change
For Fallout 3 players who want to experience Tranquility Lane without the sepia filter, especially if you've played through it multiple times. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to place the files in your Fallout 3 Data folder and activate the .esp in your launcher.
- If you use a mod manager like FOMM, just install the archive and enable it in your load order.
- Since it's an older mod, test it early in your playthrough to ensure it doesn't conflict with other quest mods.
