The Last Fire Giant

Well, we've gotten to this point huh, a Fire Giant mod. I feel like this is a fine line between a minor and major boss overhaul but yea, I had quite some fun working on this one despite having creative mindblocks throughout the process.

I balanced the mod with a medium roll setup and all attacks including his ultimates can be avoided without getting hit. (Also do note that Torrent is going to still be very useful in avoiding the fire breath)

Changes to the bossfight:

1. Increased Fire Giant's base health and resistances. Doubled poise and halved poise recovery.

2. Fire Giant is slightly more aggressive in Phase 1.

3. 2 of Fire Giant's attacks in Phase 1 can envelop the ground with snow, which will build up Frostbite. His snow upheaval too can build up Frostbite.

4. Fire Giant in Phase 2 has extra resistance against debuffs aside from hemorrhage.

5. Added more power to Fire Giant's slamming attacks in both Phase 1 and 2

6. When reaching low health, Fire Giant will enter one of the four "sacrificial phases" temporarily, which will grant the giant buffs but with a cost.

7. At the end of the "sacrificial phase", Fire Giant will perform an ultimate attack or combo depending on the "sacrificial phase".

8. The boss healthbar nametag is changed to "The Last Fire Giant".

Future additions to the mod:

- Resurrection feature, where players can revive Fire Giant by interacting with an object outside the arena.

Installation

1. Download the mod zip folder. Once the download is completed, extract the folder.

2. Open the extracted files. There you will find a folder named “mod”. Drag the folder to the ModEngine2 folder containing the launcher, as there is a folder named “mod” in there too.
