📋 About This Mod
This mod compresses story cutscene videos, which in original form take up 3,17 gigabytes. Thanks to this mod, the movie folders will be compressed to 656 megabytes.
This mod is created for saving disk space, primarily for those who play on small SSDs or HDDs, steam deck or other portable consoles. In general, where every gigabyte is important. My goal is to compress video files so that they are as small as possible while still maintaining the original quality. Without changing the video resolution or frames per second.
I made this for myself and decided to share it with those who are not satisfied with a huge bloated files.
Installation:
Backup movie and movie_dlc folder in Game/ folder, in case you decide to revert back.
Unzip Elden Ring. Recoded Movies.zip to the root game folder, with overwrite.
Example: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Elden Ring
