increase Item Discovery / Drop rate by +100 when equipping the Crimson Amber Medallion

Update: Added 300 Disco version, I read somewhere that 324 is the max disco, that should mean 3x drop rates in almost all cases.

According to fextralife:

• []B: Item’s base drop rate as a decimal from 0 to 1 (See item pages for this data)

  []D: Player’s Discovery stat divided by 100, from 1. 00 to 3. 34

• Formula: BD / (1 − B + BD)

  So examples:

  Drop rate of 2% on an item with 190 ID:

  (0. 02 × 1. 9) / (1 − 0. 02 + (0. 02 × 1. 9))  = 3. 7%

  Drop rate of 20% on an item:

  (0. 2 × 1. 9) / (1 − 0. 2 + (0. 2 × 1. 9))  = 32%

  It's not exactly +90% to the drop rate with 190 Discovery, but for all intents and purposes it roughly is. The higher the base drop the lower the increase.

  How to merge:

  1. DL https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/5441 just the console version under optional. Extract wherever.

  2. open the folder ERModsMergerConfig, open config.jsonl (use Notepad++ for ease)

  3. check if gamepath is correct, if you get an error when merging it's probably that. Double your /-s for the path and check if the path is actually correct

  4. open ModsToMerge and drop your params in different folders. Like Mod1, mod2, mod3 in the folder for the params you want to merge

  5. run ERModsMerger.exe

  6. press M when prompted

  7. in MergedMods you should have a new regulation.bin file

  8. put that into \ModEngine-2. 1. 0. 0-win64\mod

  9. run the game through launchmod_eldenring.bat (you got this through modengine2
