Remove Spirit Summon Icon

This mod was made for people who use "summon ash spirits anywhere" type mods (such as Spirit Summon Overhaul) and would like to remove the unnecessary spirit summon icon that's now permanently on the screen.

This modifies "ELDEN RING\Game\menu\hi\01_common.sblytbnd.dcx" (specifically the  "01_common-sblytbnd-dcx\GR\data\Menu\ScaleForm\SBLayout\01_Common\Hi\SB_FE_01.layout" file in 01_common.sblytbnd.dcx)

If you're the author of a mod that allows summoning spirits everywhere you're more than welcome to incorporate this mod into yours.

If you'd like to add this feature to another mod, here's the steps to manually remove the icon:

Unpack game files using UXM Selective Unpack (specifically you just need to unpack the menu folder)

Using Yabber, unpack ELDEN RING\Game\menu\hi\01_common.sblytbnd.dcx

Edit "01_common-sblytbnd-dcx\GR\data\Menu\ScaleForm\SBLayout\01_Common\Hi\SB_FE_01.layout" with a text editor

Delete the 2 MENU_FL_Buddy lines (lines 11 and 12)

Repack the 01_common.sblytbnd.dcx with Yabber

As you can see I can summon ash spirits anywhere:
