📋 About This Mod

Dying Light has an incredible parkour and combat system, letting you become an agile zombie slaying badass. But for those that seek a more realistic challenge...

Human Movement grounds your abilities somewhat, making you less superhuman by evening the odds in a number of different ways:

  • []Maximum sprint speed has been lowered slightly (you can still outrun enemies, but you're less like Sonic The Hedgehog in human form now).

[]Maximum jump height has been lowered slightly (you can still reach the same ledges, but need to jump a little closer, giving zombies the opportunity to land hits before you can safely escape).

[]When you're out of stamina, your jump height is significantly lower. Being cornered is a bigger concern, although you can still climb onto cars and ledges to separate the distance.

[]Reaching full-speed takes a moment longer, making your movement feel a bit heavier.

[]You have significantly less mid-air control. You won't be able to unnaturally change directions and land safely at the last minute as easily.

[]Charged (heavy) attacks and dropkicks don't cause zombies to ragdoll nearly as far. Combat feels more weighted and visceral.

[]The FORWARD Grapple has been restored (cut content but it works perfectly). You can now push zombies forwards as well as backwards and to the side. It's so much fun pushing zombies off buildings and onto spikes!

[]Ragdoll gravity has been increased. Zombies now hit the ground harder, they no longer slide like they're covered in Vaseline, and you won't throw them nearly as far. This is my personal favourite addition, making the Grapple Skill MUCH more realistic and enjoyable to use.

[]Zombies no longer fall head-first when stepping off ledges, and will now ragdoll realistically without their head randomly weighing them down.

This mod has been split into several downloads for you to decide what you like the sound of.

    • []VANILLA - JUST Realistic Traversal (run speed, jump height, movement acceleration)

[](NIGHT RUNNER MODE COMPATIBILITY PATCH) Human Movement - Realistic Traversal AND Physics (everything included)

[](NIGHT RUNNER MODE COMPATIBILITY PATCH) JUST Realistic Traversal (same as 1)

[](NIGHT RUNNER MODE COMPATIBILITY PATCH) JUST Realistic Physics (same as 2)

This mod is absolutely a work-in-progress. There are a few things I'd like to improve upon. Expect updates. Suggestions welcome!

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data
