Finfolkaheem DAM Challenge - Fairytale

Fairytale - DAM Challenge The finfolk are amphibious creatures of the folklore of the #Orkney Islands in Scotland. They are known as shapechangers and sorcerers who inhabit the mythological island of Hildaland in the summer. The island of Eynhallow, on which there is a ruined chapel, is thought to be the mysterious vanishing island of Hildaland (Hidden Land). In reality this island does sometimes disappear in mist and fog. In the winter they retreat to their underwater palace known as Finfolkaheem, made of crystal and surrounded by gardens of many-coloured seaweed. Very much a beautiful 'fairyland'. They are known to lure and abduct humans, taking them to be husbands and wives. The Finmen were particularly prone to stealing human females to avoid marrying the Finwoman. Finwomen start off as mermaids, but on marriage to Finmen, they lose their beauty, so they also will lure away human men. The ambition was to have this map filled with water, but on adding it, some objects at the uppermost level disappeared - need to start a build like this much lower down. One has to imagine that the palace is in the depths of the sea off the edge of the island. The map is set for night lighting, but abstracts have been used on the island level where the water should be to give it a sense of water. Most of the palace is accessible by token (sized down a little). Best to start from the end where the larger glass dome is. There is a double door into the building which has a grassy/seaweed bit on the edge of the map. One of the lowest rooms (bottom of the tower with the gold dome) is only accessible from the chasm. Adding water, does give you a very trippy walkthrough.
