Ryza (No or Partial Cape) as Castella - Character Model Replacement

Description

Ryza currently present in the game assets has one arm, with the other side wrapped/bandaged. This is part of the model and is not a missing-arm bug introduced by this mod.

Cape versions

There are currently two versions of this mod:

Main File - No Cape Version

Removes Ryza's large cloak for the cleanest and most stable result.

Optional File - Partial Cape Physics Version

Keeps the rear-right cape panel with physics movement, while the rest of the larger cloak remains removed.

Only that section could be preserved properly, because Castella's slot has a compatible cape piece / bone setup there. Other parts of the cloak do not, so they were left out to avoid stiffness and animation problems.

Please use only ONE version at a time.

Do not keep both versions in the ~mods folder together.

Extract the archive and place the included

.pakfile in:

DragonSword Awakening\DS\Content\Paks\~mods\If the

~modsfolder does not exist, create it.

Uninstallation

Delete the mod's

.pakfile from the

~modsfolder.

Compatibility

This mod may conflict with other mods that replace Castella's character model or the same character mesh assets.

Notes

I originally wanted a proper elf archer because I used to play Dragon Nest, so I replaced Roxy with Castella. At the same time, I still wanted to use Ryza, so I moved her into Castella's slot instead. Once I tried it in game, I was surprised by how naturally the combination worked. Ryza's tall build suits Castella's oversized axe extremely well, and her one-armed design makes the single-handed axe animations feel strangely perfect for her. It honestly makes me even more curious about her backstory. Ryza normally fights with a long spear, so switching to an axe almost feels like giving her a heavier weapon with a different balance point rather than changing her fighting style completely.
