Ryza as Herself - Playable Character with Orthello Skillset

This mod turns Orthello's character slot into Ryza herself, while keeping Orthello's skillset and gameplay.

Version 2. 0 goes considerably further than the original model replacement.

Ryza now has her own name, character portrait, character archive/gallery entry, spear, and player voice.

Ryza does not appear to have a complete set of dedicated combat voice lines in the game assets, so I created a full player voice setup using her existing voiced dialogue and reactions from the game. I cut and assigned the lines and short vocal reactions to different actions as appropriately as I could, matching their tone and context where possible.

You can listen to Ryza's voice lines from her character archive/gallery page, or simply switch to her and play normally to hear them in gameplay.

She still uses Orthello's skills, animations, combat mechanics, and gameplay data.

Ryza's model

The Ryza model currently present in the game assets has one arm, with the other side wrapped/bandaged. This is part of the original model and is not a missing-arm bug introduced by this mod.

Since Ryza is originally a spear user, Orthello's slot remains a particularly natural fit for her. In Version 2. 0, his weapon has also been replaced with Ryza's own spear, so she is no longer using Orthello's weapon visually.

In other words, this mod makes the character Ryza herself in presentation, while using Orthello's gameplay kit underneath.

Voice replacement

Ryza does not appear to have a complete dedicated combat voice set available in the game assets.

Because of this, I used her existing voiced dialogue, reactions, and short vocal sounds from other parts of the game to build a complete player voice replacement.

I tried to match each line or reaction to the corresponding action and situation as naturally as possible.

Since these recordings were not originally made specifically for Orthello's combat actions, some choices are necessarily approximate, but every player voice slot has now been replaced with Ryza's voice.

Physics and model adjustments

This version includes physics on:

To make the model work correctly in Orthello's slot, I removed the two front cape panels, as they could not be mapped properly and could not support usable physics in this setup.

The front and back skirt panels currently do not have physics.

There is also some clipping between the far-right cape section and the arm in certain poses. This is visual only and does not affect gameplay.
