📋 About This Mod

A 'small' selection of base game armor edits for most Body Armors that involved actual armor of some kind; Fighter/Warrior/Thief/Archer/Spearhand/MagickArcher, most of them. Hopefully edited to some what I would call "sensible" suits of

Update: The latest pack is just some extra edits I've done since my last drop; some are pretty in depth while others are just some color changes to better match the rest of the parts. The old edits are still available in the OG file, but the new ones will overwrite the old ones.

The updated armor pictures are up front in the images section!

After a good amount of time (probably 10 overall hours or so) of not only learning how Content Editor worked, thanks to the guide posted by 77zephyr77, and I mean this one, I set about to change almost all of the armor sets I could work through for at first my own amusement but then as a sort of giving back to the general modding community. That gift is what, with my limited knowledge of the finer workings of the game's model/texture system and Content Editor as a whole, I hope is a general redesign to make armors across the board look as if they were fundamentally designed to be worn and protect people with an overall "low fantasy" or at the least a "lower" fantasy aesthetic.

This usually meant removing the large, oversized pauldrons in favor of sleeker cuirass to upper cannon and down to the couters (Yes, that's their name) to change the major silhouette. It was also an intention to make most of them at the least aesthetic enough for use without wearing cloaks, which in my first few playthroughs felt like it a requirement for me.

The Indomitable Armor was the worst contender for me, but it's aesthetic preference I suppose.

This mod only touches on a selection of base game armors, specifically only Body Armors, and no new content, be it models, textures, or animations, are added by this mod.

Completely off the subject of said mod here, but if you want to have more options for different, good armor to give yourself and pawns, go and download Arisen's NPC Outfits, as it has a great deal of extra pieces to add. The helmet in the banner is one of them, in fact.

Installation: As easy as dropping the file into Fluffy Mod Manager program, activate whichever armors you want active, and get to whacking monsters in your new duds.

Requirements: Mesh Mod Enabler, Fluffy Mod Manager, REframework, Invisible Parts Fixer, and all their associated requirements.

For the less informed in general DD2 modding, I would wholeheartedly recommend one uses the Transmogify mod in order to utilize these armors as I haven't the patience to go through all these armors again and edit the stats to fall in line with endgame, dragonforged equipment like the old "Masterworks All" mod (assuming that mod is indeed broken; it was for me). Also also wic, I must admit I do not
