Resampled Skin Textures

What's this? This is a mod to replace various textures used on character models with ones that are twice the size. They've been enlarged using the latest in super-resolution techniques - deep convolutional neural networks, predictor neural networks, and fractal-based image rescaling. It's higher quality - with no sharpening, oversaturation, or contrast adjustment! However, the original textures themselves aren't very high resolution, so don't expect miracles.

What's so good about it? Well, you'll see less blotchy spots on character skins and some extra definitions thanks to the higher resolution normal maps. Scars will look sharper (although sometimes too smooth) and makeup less smudgy.

This currently covers: Male and female body and skin diffuse and normal maps. Body scars and freckles. * Makeup.

Usage: Manual install Backup and replace game_main.arc in nativePC/rom with the one from this mod.

Mod manager install As of writing, there's no standardised mod manager, but you should be able to feed it the folder containing this mod and have it work out the rest.

On Performance:

No noticeable performance impact. These are not 4K textures. Notes:   Incompatible with other mods that modify game_main.arc! Maybe someone else will figure out a way we can co-operate... Some textures are too small to work with. For example, eyebrows.  Vanilla bodies, so don't expect anything under those rags. Pervert.
