📋 About This Mod
The modfile as is currently doesn't work, but a commenter apparently followed my directions and got it to work, if you would like to give that a go.
To the person who got it to work, share it! I have no intention of maintaining this mod unless I go back to the game.
Because this was useful as a resource to someone, I am keeping this mod up instead of taking it down.

INVISIBLE WEAPONS OF EVERY TYPE
I wanted invisible weapons. I made it. I'm a long time self modding lurker and generally don't share my mods. I love this game overmuch though, so here they are.
I chose weapons that were generally: low dmg with no special effects, and relatively ugly IMO.
Sword: Trusty Sword
Shield: Pelta
Longsword: War Blade
Mshield: Magick Buckler
Dagger: Snagdaggers
Bow: Fluted Bow
LBow: Reinforced Longbow
Staff: Unspoken Grace
AStaff: Favored Branches
I also use Quiver Begone and a slew of other mods.
Install the same way you do other DDDA mods. Back up your stuff and slot in the new weapon files.
Bug with Fulmination?
Some quick testing resulted in me finding out that Fulmination crashes the game when casting with the invisible Favored Branches.
I don't know why. I can cast it just fine using other AStaves, and all the other flashy moves (like Bolide/Brontide) work just fine.
Bug with Enchantments/Basic attack
I looked at the Magic without a Stick mod, and found out that my invisible staves also cannot get enchanted (crash) or basic attack (animation cancel).
shrug kick your teammates off a cliff and hire pawns that don't enchant your staff.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Does exactly what it says – all weapons and shields become invisible, no fuss
- Tiny mod, won't bloat your load order or cause performance hits
- 117 endorsements from a niche audience – the community vouches for it
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016 – may have compatibility issues with newer Skyrim versions or mods that alter weapon meshes
- Invisible weapons might look odd in third-person – your character appears to punch the air
For Skyrim players who want a weapon-free look for screenshots, roleplay, or to showcase armor without clunky weapons. Also useful for modders testing animations. Skip if you want visible gear – this is purely cosmetic and removes all weapon visuals.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, install this mod and enable it – it should override weapon meshes automatically.
- Test with a few different weapon types (swords, axes, bows) to ensure they're all invisible – if some remain visible, check for mod conflicts.
- For screenshots, use the console command 'tm' to hide the UI and get clean shots of your character without weapons.
