📋 About This Mod
Let's be real, the transmog screen is a nightmare. How are there over a hundred armor appearances and no option to search or filter them?
Until I can figure out a better solution, I made this mod to at least partially alleviate the frustration. The armor icons are now color coded based on the faction they belong to:
Antivan Crows - purple
Grey Wardens - blue
Lords of Fortune - yellow
Mourn Watch - green
Shadow Dragons - red
Veil Jumpers - orange
Misc - brown
DLC/promotional - white
To install, you will need the latest Frosty release by Joell560.
Joel's release is the most up to date and feature complete version of Frosty. It is recommended that you switch to using Joel's Frosty over wavebend's. It is installed and works exactly the same as wavebend's Frosty, with some extra quality of life features and fewer bugs.
If you bought the game on the EIPC GAMES STORE, download the Datapath Fix Plugin and place it in your Plugins folder within your Frosty folder!
Follow this guide by PinkyDude for step by step instructions on the installation and usage of the mod manager.
If you are having trouble with the modding tools, the best place to ask for help is the Veilguard Modding discord. Start by reading our resources in the Troubleshooting section! Also keep in mind that while we are doing our best to help, Veilguard modding is new territory for everyone, and we are still in the process of learning how it all works (or why it sometimes doesn't and how to fix it.)
If you get an error when trying to import the mod into Frosty, you need to unzip the downloaded archive. There are a variety of tools for this. I can recommend 7-Zip, which is free and open source. With 7-Zip installed, you can simply right click the downloaded file and go to 7-Zip -> Extract Here if you want to extract the mod file into the current folder, or 7-Zip -> Extract Files... if you want to specify a different destination folder.
wavebend for the Veilguard fork.
Joell560 for his work within the DAV modding community.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective idea—no more squinting at icons to figure out which faction gear belongs to
- Recent update (Feb 2025) means it's likely compatible with current game version
- Lightweight UI mod that won't impact performance
⚠️ Cons
- Only 122 endorsements—might be a niche mod with limited community testing
- No screenshots or detailed description—you're flying blind on what the colors actually look like
For transmog enthusiasts who juggle gear from multiple factions and want a quicker visual reference. Skip if you rarely use the transmog screen or prefer a vanilla UI.
