Zevran Encounter Cow Fix

Remove the annoying low-res dead cow/ox from the background of Zevran's interrogation cutscene or turn it into a large broken crate. For the sake of making pretty screenshots!

Installation:

Unzip the archive and drop Zevran Encounter Cow Removed or Zevran Encounter Cow to Crate folder into your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override before getting to a map where he set up his ambush (duh).

If you're using ZevranASAP, do it before leaving your very first camp where you dream about the Archdemon at the latest!

If you don't have any mods for that - before leaving your first main quest area after Lothering (e.g. Redcliffe, Circle Tower etc.)!

Horses of Ferelden optional version installation:

1. Unzip Horses of Ferelden into your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override.

If you don't want to use the whole Horses of Ferelden mod, only extract the following files:

2. If you're already using my Zevran Encounter Cow Removed or Zevran Encounter Cow to Crate mod, remove it from your override.

3. Unzip Zevran Encounter Cow to Horse or Zevran Encounter Both Cows to Horses folder into your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override before getting to a map where he set up his ambush.

Compatibility:

Technically incompatible with other mods modifying the ran401ar_highway_zevran1.are file, but since this mod's folder names start with a Z, it will override any other Zevran encounter edit, such as the one included in Improved Atmosphere.

If you're using DAE II and only want the cow removal feature, that mod has it (under Miscellaneous fixes). Scripted removal, and thus better compatibility with area edits.

You can also manually patch your favorite ran401ar_highway_zevran1.are to use my edits.

1. Open your file with TlkEdit2.

2. Expand PlaceableList and find line 8 (should be the ox next to Zevran, line 7 is usually the other one). Expand it too.

3. Change the TemplateResRef and the Tag fields to a crate/horse/etc (use my file as a template).

4. Adjust the position (again, you can copy it from my file).
