Lake Calenhad Docks Extended

Now your party arrives further down the other side of the hill (before the Imperial Highway arches) and leaves after descending from the hill and turning right, for the sake of immersion and a more scenic view.

Been thinking about extending this area since exploring it in the level editor some time ago. In the end, I decided against making the entry point in the same place as the exit (you'll tire of running up the hill from there real soon), so you'll arrive halfway up the hill, but can still enjoy the sights of the Imperial Highway afterwards or on your way out to the world map.

Basically, you can place the arrival waypoint anywhere in the area (as long as the place is walkable. Turn on Show Pathfinding Points through the Options - Area Editor menu to make sure it is, if you're doing it in the toolset). The departure waypoint though should be placed next to the exit door/placeable (whatever is used in this particular location), because you should be able to click on said door/placeable to bring up the world map/trigger area transition. Compatibility:

Incompatible with other mods editing the cir100ar_docks.are file. Compatibility patch for Improved Atmosphere included.

You can also patch your cir100ar_docks.are with my edits with TlkEdit2.

Use this pic as a reference for which fields to copy from my cir100ar_docks.are file to your file.

Installation:

1. Delete any duplicate cir100ar_docks.are from your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

2. Unzip and drop the Lake Docks Extended... folder in there BEFORE you visit Lake Calenhad Docks for the first time!

or if you're using IA

Rewrite the cir100ar_docks.are in Improved Atmosphere\2. Modules\2. 1. Areas.

Uninstallation:

Delete Lake Docks Extended... folder from your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override and optionally reinstall the original IA's file. The entry/exit points will return to vanilla only after you start a new game or if you load a save from before visiting the Docks for the first time!
