📋 About This Mod
EDIT 24-Feb-2018: I have completely redone this mod. It is no longer a tattoo using multiple channels, but legitimate face textures using the tranquil mark from DA:I. If you have the old version, make sure you remove it before installing this one.
It's interesting that they mention the fact that tranquil are branded in DAO, but just didn't display it. So it's not like it was something they added later on.
The only other mod I've seen that does this as well ends up looking more like a tattoo than an actual brand mark, so I decided to do my best on changing that.
INSTALLATION
Extract from the .zip file and add the folder to your Documents\BioWare\DragonAge\packages\core\override.
To uninstall, simply remove the folder.
This mod is NOT compatible with any other mods that make changes to the following files:
-
[]bhm200cr_m_e_tranquil.utc
[]ef_bhm200_f_e_tranquil.mor
[]em_bhm200_m_e_tranquil.mor
[]hf_bhm200_f_h_tranquil.mor
[]hm_bhm200_m_h_tranquil.mor
[]hm_bhm200_owain.mor
[]hm_cir220_sac_tran.mor
[]hm_den230_proprietor.mor
[]hm_lite_camp_tranquil.mor
[]hm_pre100_gentle.mor
You may be wondering why there's a UTC file... It's because for some reason while BioWare labelled the NPC as an elf, they (I assume accidentally) gave the character a human body. So I corrected this in order for the morph to work.
This mod replaces the brand on Tranquil NPCs in Dragon Age: Inquisition with the familiar design from later games, specifically the DA:I design. It's a small cosmetic tweak for players who want consistency with the series' lore. With 1,202 endorsements and 28,908 downloads, it's a popular choice for lore-focused players.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite (1,202 endorsements) — clearly fills a niche for lore buffs
- Lightweight and easy to install — just drop-in and go
- Makes Tranquils match the later game's look, which is a nice touch for continuity
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018 — might not be compatible with the latest game patches or DLC
- Only affects the brand design — if you wanted more Tranquil customization, this isn't it
- No screenshots or detailed install notes in the description, so you're flying blind until you try it
For Dragon Age: Inquisition players who care about lore consistency and want Tranquil NPCs to match the brand design from later games. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or more extensive NPC overhauls — this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
