• SHORT DESCRIPTION:
• Ancient Elven magic is often dismissed by the humans as fanciful dreams of a race that self destructed.  They were slaves and only by the grace of the Maker did they escape that existence.  But in the lore of the Dalish there is a different accounting of history.  Weapons made by the Old Ones are proof of a superiour race.  The free elves of the day, the Dalish are much like any race inhabiting Ferelden. They have their petty grievances, jealousies, angers, fears and resentment. But they are also clannish and not to be trifled with.  The  Brecilian forest has a twisted history of invasions, battles, murders and retaliations by the forest itself in some cases. The veil is very thin there.  In your travels you will get a chance to uncover and discover truths about the spirits that inhabit the forest, ancient memories of the Elvenon and relationships that can impact your current decisions.

• INSTALLATION WITH CHOICES:
• Download the RAR file and extract for the Mod DAZIP file and the "...readme_1st" text file.  The DAZIP can be installed by Mod Manager or the DAUPDATER.  Installation will put a new folder into both the "Addins" and "override" folders. The Dalish Quest can be installed as a stand-alone Mod or as a complementary Mod to any or all of "The Warden's Women" and "Sappho's Daughters Mods (Nexus Links below):

This Mod can be installed into any in-progress game where the player has not yet entered any of the "three Dalish areas" (Nature of the Beast main quest). If the in-progress game has already entered the Dalish area, then a new start game is required.

• PLAYING THE DALISH QUEST:
• This quest is triggered by initiating dialogue with Lanaya before completing the "Nature of the Beast" main quest.  Either of two preconditions must be met.  For a human/dwarf warden, the Halla must be saved in the "Elora's Halla" side quest.  For an elf warden, Deygan must be saved in the "Wounded in the Forest" side quest.  Remember that the Lanaya dialogue has a "stacked sequence" of comments about each of the vanilla side-quests in the Dalish Camp.  You may need to talk to her several
