The velvet blade

The velvet blade. A new type of longsword, created by altering the mesh of \"The voice of velvet\" from Dragon Age: Awakening. When I first got that dagger I thought it looked really nice, but had one terrible downside: there was nothing to go with it. So I set out to fix this. Credits go to Bioware for making DA:O, DA:A, and the original mesh and textures. Update - Now added a 2H version of the sword as well. Unpack the new greatsword override package into your overide folder. If you have the old dazip installed, uninstall it first and install the new dazip which gives both a longsword and a greatsword. Now available in dragonbone, volcanic and awakening. As befor, Awakening works alongside either OC version. Uninstall the old longsword dazip before installing the new package to prevent conflicts. The sword is available both as a toolset resource and as an in-game item. The sword does not replace any original swords although I can\'t guarantee it won\'t conflict with another weapon mod as I just picked a random number. Install instructions: Download the override rar first and extract it. Place the Velvet longsword folder in your override folder. This should make the sword available in the toolset under longswords as variation: Velvet longsword. After installing the folder in override, install one of the dazip\'s to get an ingame version of the sword. If you have \"Awakening in the OC\" you can use the volcanic version. Otherwise take the dragonbone version. The awakening version is volcanic and will work fine when installed alongside either of the OC versions. Or use the toolset to make one to your liking, whatever you prefer. Update - 5-6-10 - Added a slightly modified longsword because, as pointed out in the comments, the old one was very thin. The new mesh features a slightly broader blade and looks a bit sturdier. It can be found under update files. To install, extract the replacement mesh into the velvet longsword override folder. The old package is still required as it contains all additional files and textures.
