📋 About This Mod

Makes The Witcher 3 Wardrobe compatible with Natural Bodies, and fixes a bug that made the Kaer Morhen armour tint with the character's skin colour.

This mod solves an issue in The Witcher 3 Wardrobe where the skin areas look wrong if you have a body replacer based on Natural Bodies installed, so that you can use both at once. It will not cause issues if you're using the vanilla bodies.

It also fixes an issue where the Kaer Morhen armour tints to the character's skintone.

There is an optional file to remove the amulet and trophy hook from the Kaer Morhen armour.

About

Skin fix

The Witcher 3 Wardrobe uses the game's nude body material for its skin areas, instead of including skin in its own textures. This works fine if you use the vanilla nude bodies, or a direct retexture of them, but body replacers that use the models from Natural Bodies (eg Natural Bodies itself or NBAIO) have a different texture layout. The result is that the skin texture doesn't line up properly and you get weird shading, the wrong colours, or even black patches (if you're using one of the textures with black outside the in-use areas).

Thankfully Natural Bodies textures don't share names with their vanilla counterparts -- their material object (MAO) files are named the same (which causes the issue in the first place), and these reference the new textures' names. This means the vanilla textures still exist, and can be used.

This mod provides renamed duplicates of the vanilla body MAOs that reference the vanilla body textures' names, and makes the Witcher 3 Wardrobe MMHs point to these MAOs. No more weird shading, and the body replacer will still work just fine when you don't have clothes on! (Note: only the "human" MAOs are actually used by the game -- for all races -- even though the others exist in the files.)

This mod doesn't include the vanilla body textures themselves since they aren't replaced by Natural Bodies; this means that they'll respond to edits of the vanilla body textures.

Tint fix

The Kaer Morhen armour accidentally tints certain pieces with the character's skintone for the same reason as detailed in my Tint Fix for Thedosian Grey Wardens mod. (The MAOs use the "ArmorSkinTint" semantic but don't list a tint map, so they default to one that has a white alpha, putting the skintone tint over the whole piece.)

I have provided MAOs that fix it in the same way (setting the MAOs' semantics to "NoTint").

Optional File: Kaer Morhen armour simplification

I did a quick edit of the Kaer Morhen armour's MMH that removes the witcher amulet and trophy hook, in case anyone wants the witcher aesthetic without the implication of actually being a witcher. (This armour doesn't have the skin texture problem since it doesn't show any, I just thought it might be nice!) It doesn't edit the mesh itself -- it just makes the amulet/hook mesh chunks unuse
