Improved Helm of the Red

You've managed to do the near-impossible and save Redcliffe without any casualties! In his overwhelming gratitude, Bann Teagan gifts you with a treasured family heirloom... a +1 dex, +10% fire resist helmet?

HELmet no. This very tiny mod turns the Helm of the Red into something that may actually be worth reloading half a dozen times for.

Helm of the Red

Steel (tiers up to Red Steel)

+15 mental resistance

+15% fire resistance

The statistics are modeled after Brogan Dace's Dwarven Full Helm in Golems of Amgarrak, but with the physical resist swapped for

fire resistance, in keeping with the lore of the item.

REQUIREMENTS

I used the helmet-heavy_009.dds from The Icons Project. I've read reports (but not encountered) that if the icon is from TIP and the user doesn't have it installed, the item just doesn't show up. To be sure, just install TIP.

INSTALLATION

Unzip and drop the Helm of the Red folder into My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

UNINSTALLATION

Delete the Helm of the Red folder in your override. The improved helm should disappear from your inventory.

EXTRA NOTES

This overwrites gen_im_arm_hel_hvy_red.uti, so if you've already received the helm, you will have the original statistics. Type runscript tam_give_helmred into the console to get the improved helm.

This was only cursorily tested, so if there are any issues, just uninstall and add the original helm by using the additem command in the console.
