Flamberge Greatsword

After working on the Loghain's set, Blick and me decided to search for a nice substitute for the standard (and boring) greatsword.

Here the results, a beautiful 2-handed sword with a wavy blade (flamberge or zweihander). Now really "This is a heavy, formidable blade" as quoted in the description of Jory's Balanced Sword.

This sword model substitutes:

- Greatsword (gen_im_wep_mel_gsw_gsw.uti)

- Balanced Greatsword (Jory) (gen_im_wep_mel_gsw_jor.uti)

- Meteor Sword (gen_im_wep_mel_gsw_met.uti)

The length of the sword is the same as the original. I colored the diffuse map and the tint map to follow the color palette used in the base model as close as possible.

The mod may conflict with a component of the great DA: Evolved mod - TheRealPersian also modified the basic greatsword's appearance (Greatsword 3 variation). In this case, remove/backup the Basic folder from zzz_Dragon Age Evolved\2. Weapons\Greatsword. Renaming the Flamberge Greatsword folder to zzzz_Greatsword will also work, it will place this mod higher on the load list, without a necessity to remove or backup the DA: Evolved's version of the sword.

In the optional files, you can find a standalone version of the flamberge greatsword. Made after few requests. To be used in the place of the main file.

With the optional file, the standalone flamberge sword has ID 140. In the . UTI folder, I modified the two following items to use the flamberge model and textures:

- Meteor Sword (gen_im_wep_mel_gsw_met.uti). The other greatswords will use the vanilla model and textures.

- Family Sword (gen_im_wep_mel_lsw_fam.uti). The vanilla family sword (a longsword) is now a 2-handed sword with the flamberge shape.

Installation

Extract the files in your override folder.

Unistallation

Remove the files from your override folder.
