📋 About This Mod
In "Return to Ostagar", all dialogue options that allow you to give Cailan a proper funeral are phrased in a way that require you to be Andrastian or venerate royalty. Further, if your party members object that Cailan, as an Andrastian, needs his body burned in accordance with his religion, the only options to agree are dismissive and insensitive. For roleplaying purposes, this mod adds options that allow you to give Cailan a proper funeral as a matter of respect without forcing you to profess any of those beliefs yourself.
Approval gains and losses will still occur just as if you chose the vanilla options to burn Cailan's body. After some thought, I kept approval losses for pragmatic party members like Zevran and Morrigan even if you're not venerating Cailan, as the vanilla game had approval loss occur even if you only agree to burn the body to appease Alistair or Wynne. This seemed to indicate that pragmatic party members disapprove not out of personal animosity, but because of the needless risk of lingering in darkspawn-infested territory just to build a full pyre for a dead man.
This mod will conflict with anything that alters kcc_party_ostagar.dlg, but I'm not personally aware of any other mods that modify this file, including Qwinn's Fixpack, so this mod is fully compatible with Qwinn's Fixpack.
Installation
Extract the folder "Cailan's Body - More Dialogue Options" to your override folder at Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override
Uninstallation
Delete the folder "Cailan's Body - More Dialogue Options" from your override folder.
