Veilguard Hairs - Curls and Braids

This is a mod that ports four hairs - braided and curly - from Veilguard, attaches them all to a single texture, and makes them available in the CC. These are converted for Human, elves, and dwarves of both genders.

These hairs are available as a set, not individually. The reason for this is because the hairs are mapped to one of the Veilguard textures, as mapping them to the vanilla textures totally ruined the look of at least the braids; this completely breaks all of the other hairs with that texture. While this doesn't matter for the player character, a number of NPCs use those hairs, including some fan favorites like Krem. By using them as a set, those NPCs will have the new hairs instead, ensuring that, even if they look different, they at least don't completely break immersion.

This overhaul does not effect all NPCs - see the picture of poor Flissa's hair - because there were occasional mismatches between the textures and hair meshes for some of them. This is something that could only be fixed if I redid every hair in the game, including major NPCs like Leliana. Which I guess I could do, but I wouldn't unless there's enough interest for it. So you'll have to put up with the occasional messed up NPC, unfortunately. If you come across a major NPC, such as a companion, who has this issue, let me know, and I will try to remap their hair for curls central.

For some reason, this mod messes with the game's LODs on other hairs and outfits? I have no idea why; the only thing I can think is that the hairs have lots of extra vertices that places a strain on it. Make sure your graphic settings are as high as they can go. I am working on it in the meantime, but I wanted to prioritize posting a working version of the mod over bug fixing, because there are so few mods for braids and curly hair out there.

This is a rudimentary mod made by a beginner. I absolutely welcome anyone who wants to try porting these or other Veilguard hairs themself, and would love to see my work used in other mods or improved upon.
