📋 About This Mod

Experimental and Custom mods.

Various Experiments

Materials Mods:

Copy the mod for more swapses!

Don't merge twice. It crashes ModManager - You Only Merge Once, or so they say.

TEXTURE SWAPPER

Don't use on the same material as SvMetal, one will overwrite the other.

This DOESN'T allow you to change material COLOUR and is incompatible with Tirnoney's awesome Opulent Tints mod which does.

Please leave feedback on swaps that work, swaps that DON'T work, things that look good, things that look bad, leave screenshots and feedback, let's see what you've made!

What do you think is good and/or bad?

Warning: Some materials just look like nothing has changed. /shrug. Also, multiple leathers and cloths share the same textures.

This possibly works with other DAIMODs that change textures such as this, but it's not been tested yet:

I just looked at one of those files and it looks good for this assertion. So you will be able to move THEIR NEW patterns around materials.

SvMETAL

Don't use on the same material as Texture Swapper, one will overwrite the other.

This will possibly get released as it's own mod at some point, but I wanted people to have a play with it - please help improve it by leaving feedback (and cool settings you've found).

Yes, I copied some code from Opulent Tints by Tirnoney.

Update 12/06/20

Now I've copied some code from Chrono414, too.

I've completely rewritten the stat section of the mod. It took a long time to create a spreadsheet that allowed me to understand how it all works.

Then it took a day or two (or three) to put the code together.

I'll be releasing this as it's own mod soontm.

Future plans :

1. Remake all the metals in Frosty - put more diffs and textures in to make them super shiney.

2. Rebuild the DAIMOD.

3. Get all the offsets from the new metals and shove them in the code.

4. Put more options on the menus.

It looks like obsidian is wrong. .. my first impression is that it's taking red as green value ... which shouldn't be possible for one specific material... unless... the offset of one of the RGB settings is off...?

I think this should be the line for Obsidian instead of the current one...

0x1740 , 0x17c0 , 0x1720 , 0x17a0 , 0x1760 , 0x17e0 , 0x1780 , 0x1800

I haven't bothered to fix it.

Also, I published Configurable Metal, so if you want the finished product, search for that.

The metal in this mod is also less shiney than that mod's because it uses different textures - I'm not sure which I prefer tbh.
