  Q: What is Fresnel?

  A: It's the sheen you get when you fold velvet - I have no idea how that affects metal, but Dragon Bone has a setting of 20. Generally 0-1 has most effect on the material - it's like there are diminishing returns on the amount you set, so 10 isn't much more than 2, for example.

  Q: How do the colours work?

  A: Think of the tint is the base colour, and the fresnel as a layer that floats above it, the fresnel determines;

  • []how shiney the metal is and,

    []the colour of that shineyness.

  Using this information you can create iridescent effects.

  Q: What does the "White" setting do?

  A: I don't know.

  Q: How do I replicate the colour of Ice Dragon Bone from Jaws of Hakkon?

  A: That should be these settings:

  Tint: 12:15:56

  Fresnel 403:97:29

  Fresnel amount: 6

  Yes, that says 403 out of 255. I don't understand it either.

  Q: How do I replicate the colour of Veil Quartz from Jaws of Hakkon?

  A: That should be these settings:

  Tint: 62:498:62

  Fresnel: 200:60:1
