Josephine Complexion Tweak

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed it, but there’s some sort of weird pattern on Josephine’s upper and lower eyelids (see diffuse map comparison picture). It’s been bothering (and puzzling) me for a while, so I decided to do something about it. It's a very minor tweak, but I thought I'd share in case anyone else has been bothered by it but thinks Josie otherwise looks perfectly fine.

Both the diffuse and specular maps have been edited. There are two options available for the spec map:

• []Version A, which keeps the vanilla shine intact.

  []Version B, which reduces said shine (thanks to Ascendia).

  (How visible it is in-game depends on the lighting, so unfortunately, the difference between vanilla Josie and modded Josie isn't that noticeable on my before/after screenshots. You can see the weird-looking texture more clearly on the first in-game picture.)

  Requirements

  • []Patch 8 or higher

    []DAI Mod Manager (.daimod version)

    []Frosty Mod Manager (.fbmod version) (for what it's worth, the mod was made with Frosty Editor 1. 0. 5. 2).

    Installation

    Drop the .daimod file into your mod directory and install with the DAI Mod Manager. More detailed instructions can be found here.

    Frosty version: simply install it the way you usually install your mods (I don't use Frosty yet so I can't give more detailed instructions, sorry).

    Compatibility notes and known issues

    • []Incompatible with mods that edit Josie's diffuse and/or specular maps.

      [][.daimod version only] Doesn’t seem to work in Trespasser. I've done some quick testing with version B installed and haven't experienced any crashes; the mod simply doesn't show up. Still, I'd recommend disabling it before playing the DLC.
