  If you use the game on the Very High quality you will get the fake d3d11, which will make some textures look weird. You can, however, use the d3d11 features without activating them. Follow the steps. Have in mind, it's not required, but highly recommended and will improve your fps.

  The First step - Open your game and choose High quality--Not the Very High--Then close the game. Also, activate the TexturePack on the options.

  The Second step - Go to your--Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\Settings--Open the file DragonAge.ini with any editor you want and activate the effects you wish. But to have the best quality, change the lines if 0 to 1 like the example below.
