Playing Mars Core on an existing save also works, but you will not have the intended weapon progression.

- This mod is intended to be less difficult than a Master Level. However, the Slayer Gate and Secret Escalation Encounters ramp up the difficulty.

- You start with the Mastered Plasma Rifle and obtain the rest of your weapons throughout the level - including the Sentinel Hammer.

- Encounters are semi-randomized. Enemy spawns will only spawn demons of a similar threat level to preserve balance and pacing.

- After finishing the level, you are taken back to the main menu. The save you used to play will only have a new campaign prompt, which will restart the level when selected.

- Although all the Campaign Progression Items (Runes, Sentinel Tokens, etc) are removed from the map, they still show up in the Automap. This is done to prevent progression issues if you are playing on an existing save.

- The Mars Core Master level is unchanged, except for the altered Phobos environment and some moved Extra Lives.
