Dishonored 1 Blink Cooldown

Description

Compared to Dishonored 1, the Blink ability felt very clunky and slow. One of the causes of this issue was the slightly longer cooldown between the two games. This mod aims to closely mimic the cooldown of the original game.

This slightly lower cooldown might seem insignificant, but you can really feel the difference. 

Files (only use one!)

Blink Cooldown DH1

Rigorously tested and eyeballed using video footage to as closely resemble the Dishonored 1 Blink cooldown as possible

(Custom Blink mod recommended alongside this one).

Blink Range and Cooldown DH1

Same as the first, but also increased both the maximum vertical distance and the blink horizontal distance upgrade by 2m which makes Blink even more like the original game.

Blink Cooldown and Range DH1

Blink Cooldown 0. 5x

Dishonored 2's blink cooldown was cut in half; blink is much more responsive compared to both Dishonored 1 and 2 but might be a bit unbalanced.

No Blink Cooldown

Because why limit the fun? (Could cause engine issues, but haven't found any so far.)

Installation instructions

1. Download the all-in-one package.

2. Extract the folder, then install the version of your choice with Void Installer.

Recommended mods

I highly recommend Custom Blink, which is a similar mod and also aims to mimic the blink from Dishonored 1's feel by modifying the travel time and effects. Combined with this cooldown mod, Blink will feel as close to the original as is currently possible.

Furthermore, if you really want to go nostalgic, I recommend:

Remove Corvo's left hand bandages / Corvo Enhanced - No Left Hand Wrappings together with the lore-accurate version of Outsider's Mark Enhanced. These will make Corvo's hand and the outsider's mark almost like in the original game.
