STEAM VERSION ONLY — IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTICE

This mod has been developed and tested on the original Steam release of Dishonored for Windows.

The GOG release has not been tested and probably will not work. The installer validates exact Steam file sizes, package structures, and SHA-256 hashes. A different storefront build may be rejected before any files are changed. Do not bypass the safety checks or attempt to force installation onto unknown files.

Ghosts of Dunwall Mod Pack combines a broad collection of independently selectable gameplay, accessibility, interface, economy, resource, stealth, combat, chaos, and quality-of-life changes into one validated command-window installer.

Choose the exact experience you want. Keep vanilla balance in one area, remove friction in another, or build a full supernatural power fantasy. Shared systems apply across Corvo's campaign and Daud's two story DLCs wherever the underlying mechanic is shared.

The installer verifies supported Steam files, constructs the selected variants locally, creates authoritative original backups, validates every completed output, and rolls back if anything fails.

IMPORTANT DISHONORED. EXE MODIFICATION NOTICE

Nine feature groups deliberately modify your local Dishonored.exe. These edits are not malicious. They are required because the affected mechanics are implemented in native game code and cannot be fully changed through INI or Unreal package edits alone.

The executable-backed groups are:

• Overseer Music Boxes

The mod does not distribute a complete Dishonored.exe. It verifies your own supported Steam executable, creates an authoritative backup, reconstructs the selected variant locally from compact patch data, verifies the finished file by SHA-256, and rolls back if anything fails.

The installer contains no telemetry, credential collection, Steam-account access, save uploading, network download code, background service, startup persistence, or registry modification.

Reputation-based antivirus software may warn because the locally generated executable intentionally differs from Bethesda's original and is not signed by Bethesda. That fact alone does not make it malicious. Verify the published archive SHA-256 and scan the archive normally; do not broadly disable your security software.
