📋 About This Mod
Increase AttackSpeed
-uDItzqQ000
A compatibility patch has been applied in line with the D2R DLC update on February 12th. The Warlock remains optimized based on 'Animation Equalize', which is the foundation of this mod, and does not include an attack speed boost. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
This is a modified version based on one of my mods, "Animation Equalize."
I personally prefer not to break the game's balance, so by my standards, this version leans more toward being a cheat.
However, since there were many requests for it, I decided to create this as a separate version. I hope it helps those who were looking for something like this.
While the original "Animation Equalize" focuses on leveling the playing field for unreasonable attack speeds and Fast Cast Rates across different classes, this specific mod goes a step further by significantly increasing the attack speed of certain classes on top of that foundation.
To add more detail, the proper way would be to create separate virtual shape-shifting states to isolate the attack speed tables, but I felt that process was too cumbersome and unnecessary. For instance, a Whirlwind Barbarian will mostly just use Whirlwind anyway.
As a result, these changes will also increase the basic attack speed and globally affect all player skills that share the same animation. Because of this, it might feel quite overpowered from level 1, and it does indeed impact the overall game balance. However, I understand that many people desire faster attack speeds for the "impact" and "feel" of the combat, beyond just balance considerations. Please keep this in mind while using the mod.
I've implemented what I could remember off the top of my head for now. If you have any other ideas, please let me know. (You can see and hear the difference by checking the Crushing Blow visual effects and the hit sounds in the video.)
While the base attack speed has been increased by default, you will still need to acquire a certain amount of attack speed from your items. Rather than simply raising the frame limit, this modification is more akin to changing the efficiency of the animations themselves. This means you can reach existing attack speed breakpoints with fewer investment points and eventually push past previous limits. Some weapons for certain classes might have been missed, so please let me know if you encounter any issues.
[]Paladin's Zeal and Smite will be significantly faster.
[]Barbarian's Whirlwind will be even faster.
[*]Amazon's Bow and Crossbow speeds have been increased. I could have made them even faster, but with skills like Multi-Shot, the visual effect of the arrows looked more like a solid line rather than individual projectiles, which felt awkward. Also, the ammo consumption was too fast to manage, so I settled on a more m
