A fully configurable leveling experience for Diablo II: Resurrected

Overview

This mod gives you complete control over the leveling curve in D2R. Want to blaze through the campaign? Cut the XP requirements. Want a longer, grindier playthrough? Increase them. You can also raise the max level cap all the way to 999 with a configurable XP growth rate for levels beyond 99.

Recommend ONLY use this on New Characters. It does work with existing saves, but please back up your saves before using this mod. Like all mods, unexpected things can happen. Don't skip this step.

A lot of complaints said that the mod reverted their levels to 1, but I was not able to replicate this issue without intentionally setting my max level to 1.

Updates! I have updated the mod finally! Bricked games appear to also no longer be a problem, if you change your max level, it should change appropriately. It is updated for the new Warlock release as well. The missing column was really strange, it has been fixed.

I am not a great coder and made this mod for myself, but did notice the mod not working at all when I came back to it recently. I changed the write from \\excel, to \\excel\\base. If anyone knows why or better than this let me know. I was tempted to just send the file to both locations, but it appears to be back working better than ever in its new home.

Settings

All settings are configurable directly in D2RMM — no manual file editing required.

Max Level

Set the max level for all classes. Accepts any whole number from 1 to 999.

  Adjust EXP Level Up

  A multiplier on the XP required to reach each level. Think of it as a percentage in decimal format.

  • []0. 1 = 10% of vanilla XP needed (level up 10x faster)[/]

    []1. 0 = vanilla (no change)[/]

    []1. 25 = 125% of vanilla XP needed (slower leveling)[/]

  Lower = faster. Higher = slower.

  Caveat - If you manipulate this on existing games, you will retroactively become whatever level matches your save's current EXP. Thusly, if you use a higher number, your save will revert to a lower level. And if you use a lower number, you will be a higher level. With the latter, upon gaining exp, you will gain whatever difference in levels and the corresponding amount of skills/stats to choose from.
